Chemical Peels
Chemical peels are topically applied chemical solutions that gently exfoliate the surface of the skin and stimulate the growth of new skin cells. They are a quick, economical, no-downtime way to improve the appearance of superficial lines and uneven pigmentation, and make your skin look softer, smoother, and more radiant. Peels can also open clogged pores and reduce acne breakouts and acne scarring.
We offer a variety of peels tailored to your skin condition, ranging from mild to more aggressive.
How do Chemical Peels work?
First your skin is cleansed and then the chemical peel solution is applied in a thin layer. The peel is left on for several minutes, during which you may feel a temporary burning sensation. The treated area is then cleansed and sunscreen is applied. Your skin be slightly red and may peel for 1 to 2 days, up to 5 days after your treatment. Your skin will feel tighter and smoother with a mild itch. Most patients resume their normal activities after a chemical peel.
How many treatments do I need?
While you may see visible results after the first treatment, more significant results will be seen after a series of 3 to 6 treatments. Many patients continue maintenance treatments every 4 to 12 weeks.
