Dermaplaning
Dermaplaning is a quick and non-invasive exfoliation treatment which uses a special blade to gently remove dead skin cells from the surface of you skin as well as the fine hairs (“peach fuzz”). Is Dermaplaning painful?
Dermaplaning treatment is completely painless. Most patients describe the sensation similar to shaving. Your skin may feel slightly warm and tight, which resolves in a few hours.
Will the hairs grow back thicker?
No, Dermaplaning will NOT cause the fine vellus hairs (“peach fuzz”) to grow back thicker. Dermaplaning does not affect the root of the hair follicles.
How often is Dermaplaning treatment performed?
Dermaplaning is usually performed every 3 to 4 weeks since it takes that long for your skin to regenerate another layer of dead skin cells.
